See, Correct, Identify
See The Colors is a unique color vision accessibility tool which:
- Simulates the three most common forms of color vision deficiencies,
- Corrects the colors in real time into portions of the spectrum that can be seen by someone having that form of color vision deficienty,
- Lists the the dominant colors are in a full or cropped screen capture to allow a color deficient and normal visioned people to communicate with a common color vocabulary,
- Creates an augmented reality view of the simulated and corrected world using Google Cardboard, and
- Allows video recording of a corrected or simulated scenes with the option of posting the video on social media or sending it as a message; this can be done in both as a normal video or as an augmented reality clip that another person can use with Google Cardboard to see what the color deficient person
- At its core is an OpenGL shader takes a fair amount of graphics power. As a result, it’s best run on later version iPhones or iPads, with an iPhone plus best for augmented reality use.
